September 20, 2017: Accelerated Technology Laboratories, Inc.(ATL) hosts the 2017 LIMS Webcast Series and the next webcast is scheduled for Wednesday, October 18th. This webcast is entitled Why a LIMS is a Necessity – The Perspective of a Lab Manager and will satisfy a popular request we get for webcast topics – hearing directly from a laboratory manager on what a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) has meant for their organization.
Webcast Overview
This month’s webcast will highlight one of ATL’s customers, Microban® International(a subsidiary of Barr Brands International®), the global leader in antimicrobial, odor control, and surface modification technologies. Glenner Richards is the Director of the Microbiology & Analytical Chemistry Laboratories and will talk about Microban’s laboratory operations and how their LIMS has become an invaluable part of performing and managing 30,000 bacterial and fungal tests annually. In 2016, Microban also opened BBI Microbiology Testing Services (BBIMTS) as a commercial microbiology laboratory providing independent and confidential test services to broad range of commercial customers. Glenner will also talk about the role of the LIMS with that new business initiative.
