September 26, 2018: Accelerated Technology Laboratories, Inc.(ATL), a leader in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), continues the 2018 LIMS Webcast series on Wednesday, October 17th with LIMS Case Study: Growing Success in Agriculture. This webcast will highlight two organizations, the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry (ODAFF) and Farmers Edge and the valuable role that LIMS has played in improving many aspects of their respective laboratory operations.

Webcast Overview

This month’s webcast will provide real-world insight into the value of LIMS and laboratory automation for those in the agriculture sector. First, we’ll hear from Farmers Edge, an innovative company of 550 employees in five countries, who is advancing modern agriculture through the use of field-centric data collection. The company’s data management requirements keep increasing and you’ll see how their LIMS has allowed them to expand and scale effortlessly as they perform testing on soil, plant tissue and livestock manure.  We’ll then travel to the ODAFF, where Laboratory Services is responsible for a wide variety of agricultural, consumer and environmental testing that spans across multiple scientific disciplines. We’ll hear how their LIMS has really made their lab more efficient, especially when coping with budget and staff reductions.

Topics Covered During the Webcast

  • Discuss key challenges facing agricultural laboratories today.
  • Emerging trends like biotechnology and why it is becoming an important area of focus.
  • Recent innovations to improve agricultural productivity using LIMS technology.
  • Real-world LIMS in agriculture: benefits, best practices and lessons learned.
