February 23, 2022: Accelerated Technology Laboratories, Inc. (ATL), a leader in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), continues the 2022 LIMS Webcast series on Wednesday, March 16th with “Ready! Fire! Aim! Understanding the Value of a LIMS Needs Assessment.” A needs assessment (also called a gap analysis) is an essential first step in LIMS implementation planning. This webcast will focus on how a needs assessment provides a functional roadmap to a new LIMS while identifying potential risks that can derail the project. The assessment often confirms known pain points but often uncovers new areas for improvement, that the laboratory may not have been aware of, and provides options for improvement.
What You Will Learn During the Webcast
At ATL, experienced subject matter experts conduct our needs assessments. These professionals provide an independent analysis of the laboratory’s information management and automation needs along and make recommendations to the laboratory management. The key objective of the assessment is to leverage proven analysis methods in order to deliver a LIMS deployment roadmap. Webcast attendees will gain insight into the mechanics of conducting a needs assessment, while clearly recognizing the benefits to the laboratory. The webcast will also cover the following:
- Taking a tour – walking through the steps of a LIMS needs assessment, including an overview of the tools, we will learn how to properly interpret the results of a needs assessment and incorporate its recommendations into your LIMS implementation plan.
- Preventing surprises: Using the needs assessment to uncover potential pain points and inefficiencies.
- Live Q&A at the conclusion of the webcast (including a call for 2022 LIMS Webcast topics)
