March 14, 2024: Confience, a leader in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), is pleased to announce that it will be exhibiting in Booth #602 at the 2024 California Water Environment Association (CWEA) Annual Conference & Expo. At the Expo, Confience will be showcasing its market-leading LIMS solutions, WinLIMS®, Sample Master®, and TITAN®. The Conference & Expo will take place on April 9 – 12, 2024, at the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center in Sacramento, CA.
Confience will also be presenting with one of our lab automation partners, Elemental Machines (EM), on the topic of remote environmental monitoring. Confience sells and supports a wireless environmental monitoring solution, Monitor Plus (MP), engineered and manufactured by EM. MP is a continuous monitoring solution that uses wireless IoT sensors to collect temperature, light, and humidity from laboratory equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, incubators, and water baths. All collected data points are stored in the cloud and accessible via a secure reporting dashboard. Automated alerts are sent when readings are outside customer-defined control limits.
The presentation, Working Smarter: Leveraging IoT Technology to Automate Environmental Monitoring in the Laboratory, will focus on how IoT-based solutions are used today by water/wastewater/environmental labs to continuously monitor temperature in critical assets such as refrigerators and freezers as well as incubators and water baths. The primary goals of these solutions are to eliminate manual and paper processes, improve lab efficiency and data quality, ensure CA ELAP regulatory compliance, and trigger alerts when temperature readings fall outside preset limits.
