LIMS, Automation Software and Data Integrity: Why it Matters

Jenna Robinson, Accelerated Technology Laboratories

LIMS, Automation Software and Data Integrity: Why it Matters will examine the importance of data integrity, along with the role of a LIMS, to helping analytical laboratory professionals produce, analyze and maintain high quality data. The reason why this matters begins with the fact that over 2.5 quintillion bytes of data is created every day. In the analytical testing world, we have entered a new age in terms of the scale and complexity of the data generated.

As a result, today’s analytical laboratories require readily available, secure, compliant LIMS solutions and powerful tools, including AI that can extract both laboratory and business intelligence data in order to make critical business decisions. This presentation will also emphasize the importance of managing both the structured and unstructured data being fed into the LIMS, and to avoid ending up with an unmanageable data lake.

  • Learn how LIMS and laboratory automation tools can facilitate regulatory compliance and enforce data integrity.
  • Understand the importance of data integrity, what it entails, and how to achieve it.
  • Understanding the potentially devastating ramifications when the tools and training used to maintain data integrity, including LIMS and the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS), are not properly utilized.

ATL has been providing LIMS solutions, including Sample Master and TITAN LIMS along with VALIDAT, #1 Method Validation Software to analytical testing laboratories for over two decades. ATL looks forward to meeting EAS attendees in Plainsboro. For more information, including agenda and registration details, please visit the conference website at https://eas.org/.
