Going Mobile with LIMS for Field Data Collection |
Going Mobile with LIMS for Field Data Collection will focus on how environmental laboratories are using innovative methods to manage operations more effectively to maximize productivity and reduce costs. A key element to operational efficiency is automation which will cut costs, in providing an electronic chain of custody, eliminating the need for transcription and the associated errors. The presentation will highlight several case studies where laboratories leveraged mobile technology to improve their field data collection process. The benefits realized went well beyond just eliminating the use of paper forms and importing field data directly into a laboratory’s LIMS. It also included significant reductions in daily personnel costs, higher data quality and provided laboratory analysts with access to real-time field data. Finally, the presentation will review the return on investment (ROI) that mobile technology has meant to these organizations and provide data to make the case for investing in technology.
During the Conference, ATL will be exhibiting its market leading LIMS solutions, Sample Master® and TITAN®, along with its complementary web portal (Result Point®), field data collection products (Sample Master® iMobile and TITAN® iMobile) and instrument integration services. With this complete laboratory automation portfolio, ATL provides a complete LIMS solutions platform for environmental laboratories. Attendees are encouraged to stop by the ATL booth and pick up a copy of the ATL LIMS Resource Kit. This DVD includes key tools, guides and whitepapers to assist in the selection of a new LIMS.
